Modern Warfare 2’s Controversial Map Where All The Cars Explode Updated So All The Cars Do Not Explode

Since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II launched in 2022, people have made their feelings known about the Santa Sena Border Crossing multiplayer map, and not everyone likes it. The map features a lane in the middle filled with vehicles, and they can explode in chain reactions. Players caught in the damage area can get wiped out without ever seeing an enemy soldier. With the newest update to the game, that’s changing.

The official patch notes for Season 4 Reloaded, which goes live today, list a major change for Santa Sena Border Crossing. Vehicles on the map will no longer explode. “They can still be damaged, but cannot kill players,” reads a line from the patch notes.

For what it’s worth, some people saw an element of charm in the chaos on Santa Sena Border Crossing map, but plenty of other people became very frustrated with it.
