Superman: Legacy Brings In Barry Star Anthony Carrigan As Metamorpho

Hot off his third Emmy nomination for HBO’s Barry, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Anthony Carrigan has been cast as Silver Age DC comic book character Metamorpho for James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy. Carrigan is the most recent DCU addition that will formally launch DC’s new universe under Gunn and his DC Studios co-boss Peter Safran.

Just earlier this week, Edi Gathegi, Isabela Merced, and Gunn feature mainstay Nathan Fillion were announced as Mr. Terrific, Hawkgirl, and Guy Gardner, respectively, to Superman: Legacy’s cast. They will be joined by the new Superman David Corenswet and Lois Lane, played by another Emmy-nominated actress, Rachel Brosnahan.

“Metamorpho is one of my all-time favorite characters and I’m unbelievably excited by how we’re bringing him to the screen in Superman: Legacy,” Gunn posted on his Instagram. “And equally excited about working with Anthony Carrigan.”
