American Horror Story has been renewed for up to a thirteenth season, with fans getting their first tease of Season 12, subtitled Delicate. Back in April, series creator Ryan Murphy confirmed that Delicate would have Halley Feiffer as showrunner and be based on Danielle Valentine’s Delicate Condition.
This will be the first season in the series’ history to not only have Murphy out as showrunner but also one that leans into adapted source material. The teaser featured a lot of spider imagery and hints of pregnancy, which is the focus of Valentine’s book.
Kim Kardashian was announced as the season’s lead earlier this year, with series veteran Emma Roberts joining as well. Murphy described the season to The Hollywood Reporter as “ambitious and unlike anything [the series has] ever done” with Kardashian’s character as “fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying”. This will be Kardashian’s first starring role in scripted television.
