CoD: Black Ops 6 And Warzone Season 1 Roadmap Shows MP Maps, 7 New Weapons, And Castle Map For Zombies

Season 1 arrives in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone on November 14. The season includes more multiplayer maps, a redesigned battle-pass menu, and the first look at the new Zombies map. Here we highlight all the major announcements from the Season 1 roadmap.

A new season of Call of Duty means a fresh battle pass to level up for new DLC weapons and fun cosmetics. Sevati “Sev” Dumas headlines the brand-new pass, which includes 14 pages and over 100 items to unlock. This includes some of the season’s DLC weapons, and these are available to unlock in the free tiers. The extra-premium BlackCell pass also returns with tons of additional content and battle pass tier skips.

Season 1 includes seven new weapons. Two of the weapons are featured as free unlocks in the battle pass, while the other five are arriving later as midseason rewards. These can be seen in the images below.

Black Ops 6 redesigns the layout of the battle pass, removing the combat map style introduced with Modern Warfare 2. This year’s style will be a simplified linear look with pages of content to cycle through, which is similar to the Fortnite battle pass.

The Krig C assault rifle is an HVT-tier reward on page 3 of the battle pass, and an additional blueprint can be unlocked on page 14. This weapon is described as a full-auto assault rifle with high damage and average handling.

The Saug submachine gun is also listed as an HVT-tier reward for page 3, and an additional weapon blueprint can be unlocked on page 11. This is described as a fully-automatic submachine gun with excellent mobility and a high rate of fire, but it comes at the cost of high recoil.

The Maelstrom shotgun is listed as an event reward arriving midseason. This is described as a fully automatic shotgun with good range and handling, but it also has high recoil and large hip spread.

The AMR Mod 4 sniper rifle is also listed as a midseason event reward. This is a semi-auto sniper rifle. It’s described as a one-shot kill to the torso, arms, hands, and upper legs. It has very high recoil and a slow rate of fire.

The Sirin 9mm is another midseason event reward. It’s described as a fully automatic “specialty weapon” that offers SMG-like characteristics as a secondary weapon. It has a slow rate of fire.

The Power Drill is a midseason event reward. This is a two-hit kill melee weapon described as having a “very short range and very fast attack speed.”

The Cleaver melee weapon is another midseason event reward. This is described as a one-hit kill with a short-to-medium attack range and medium attack speed.

Additionally, Season 1 adds four new special weapon attachments to unlock.

  • 12 Gauge Dragon’s Breath ammo mod for shotguns
  • Buffer Weight Stock for assault rifles, marksman rifles, and light machine guns
  • Burst Fire Conversion mod for the XM4 assault rifle
  • Burst Fire Conversion mod for the Kompakt 92 submachine gun

Season 1 of Black Ops 6 adds two new perks, another wildcard, and an additional scorestreak for more loadout options.

Shadow arrives at launch as a new option for the second perk slot. This is a Strategist (green) perk that makes players undetectable to enemy traps and mines.

Shrapnel Radar arrives midseason in the third perk slot. This is a Recon (blue) perk that will reveal enemies on the minimap after dealing them blast damage. This includes any enemies affected by area-of-effect tacticals, lethals, and field upgrades.

The Hand Cannon scorestreak from Black Ops Cold War returns to Call of Duty. This will be available at launch across multiplayer and Zombies. This is listed as a lethal scorestreak with a cost of 900 score.

Also arriving midseason, the High Roller wildcard will allow players to have a fourth scorestreak to earn during core 6v6 multiplayer matches.

The first season of Black Ops 6 will add five multiplayer maps, plus one map variant. At launch, players can expect three brand-new maps. Three more maps will arrive sometime midseason. Previews of the maps can be found below.

Extraction is a standard 6v6 map that is set on a dock with boats and helipads.

Hideout is a standard 6v6 map that features clusters of small buildings and shipping crates.

Heirloom is a small map that takes place inside a museum, and this will be available in 6v6 playlists as well as 2v2 Gunfight.

Racket is a small map that takes place inside a large bank vault. This will be available for 6v6 and 2v2 modes.

The popular Hacienda map returns from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. This map will be available for core 6v6 modes.

Nuketown gets a little snowfall for a festive holiday map variant.

Ransack arrives at launch as a brand-new game mode. Teams are tasked with looting gold bars from crates on 6v6 maps. Teams can also steal from their opponent’s stash and vice versa. Teams must reach the score limit or the team with the most gold at the time limit wins.

Call of Duty’s fan-favorite Prop Hunt mode returns later in the season. This party mode is a big game of hide and seek played out across several rounds, with one team turning into random objects on the map, and the other team is tasked with finding them all before time runs out.

For Zombies mode, Season 1 launches with the new Directed Mode to guide players through completing the main storyline quests for Liberty Falls and Terminus.

More content and a brand-new map called Citadelle des Morts will arrive with the midseason update. Treyarch did include a teaser image of the map, which is a massive castle located in Europe. This map follows the events of the Terminus main storyline quest.

Additional Zombies content confirmed includes a new Perk-a-Cola, a new field upgrade, a new ammo mod, and more Augments to unlock. However, the details of these items won’t be revealed until closer to the midseason update.

For Warzone, Black Ops 6 will finally integrate into battle royale with the start of the season. This includes the game’s advanced omnimovement, full weapon pool, and new loadout equipment featured in the game.

Urzikstan remains as Warzone’s large map, while the Resurgence mode will include the new Area 99 map, which is a small map for up to 45 players.

At launch, players can choose standard battle royale on Urzikstan or Resurgence on Area 99. Post launch, players will have additional options to choose from with the popular Rebirth Island map returning for Resurgences mode, and Urzikstan will add Call of Duty’s cash-hoarding Plunder mode.

This update will also remove the backpack system introduced in MW2, and instead players will have the simplified loadout style and looting mechanics of the original Warzone.

Working from left to right in the image below, the player inventory is shown divided into the following sections:

  • Cash on hand
  • Gas Mask
  • Armor Plates
  • Killstreaks
  • Field Upgrade
  • Primary, Secondary, and Melee Weapons
  • Ammunition for your AR, SMG, Shotgun, Sniper, and Launcher

After a year of Ranked Play Resurgence mode, players can finally return to a standard competitive mode for Warzone. Ranked play will be featured on Urzikstan this year, and the mode will arrive sometime midseason. The season will include new Ranked Play rewards.

The season will also include new shop bundles for purchase. The Replacer, who was advertising Black Ops 6 in several hilarious trailers, will arrive as an operator bundle sometime during the season. The operator bundle includes voice lines by actor Peter Stormare. Those who also purchase the BlackCell pass will get an additional variant of the Replacer.

Here are previews of additional operator bundles. This includes a steampunk-style operator skin and a gory parasite-themed operator skin.

Call of Duty Season 1 arrives to Black Ops 6 and Warzone on November 14. The Season 1 Warzone trailer can be viewed here, which features dirt bikes, four-wheelers, and helicopter action on Area 99.
