Diablo 4: Vessel Of Hatred – Spiritborn Class Guide

Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred has added the first post-launch class, Spiritborn. The Spiritborn challenges the spirit of four different animals to deal a variety of damage, depending on how you want to build. Combined with powerful passive abilities, Spiritborn offers a ton of options for making powerful builds, so long as you have a good understanding of each animal’s specialties. Here’s everything you need to know about the Spiritborn class in Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred.

The four animal spirits

Eagle abilities deal lightning damage to your foes.

There are four animals you can channel as the Spiritborn; Centipede, Jaguar, Eagle, and Gorilla. Centipede skills focus on dealing poison damage, Jaguar skills increase attack speed, Eagle skills deal lightning damage, and Gorilla skills deal high physical damage. Initially, you will want to focus on a single type to maximize your build, but once you unlock the Spirit Hall via your class quest, you can get much more creative.

The Spirit Hall lets you channel a special passive ability from one of the four spirits, but more importantly, it makes all of your skills also count as skills for that spirit. For example, you could only have Centipede skills equipped, but if you activate the Jaguar Spirit Hall passive, all of your Centipede skills also count as Jaguar skills. This means any passives you get from the skill tree or from your equipment that apply to Jaguar skills also apply to your Centipede skills, allowing you to get very creative with whatever combination of skills you want.
