French publisher Red Art Games player data exposed to “cyberattack”

In an email to customers, Red Art Games said customers’ data had been compromised during the attack, including first and last names, birthdates, email addresses, shipping addresses, order details, and phone numbers.

The studio did, however, make sure to assure it’s customers that none of their information had been leaked. They made sure to let everyone know that for security purposes, they highly advise it’s customers to change their passwords that were used for their Red Art Games account once the website comes back up, as well as any similar passwords in use for other accounts.

Red Art Games wants their customers to know that if someone pretending to be Red Art Games contacts them in the next few days, especially if they request money, bank details, or private information to stay vigilant and to not give away ANY kind of information as it would be a scammer trying to steal info!

The studio closed its website to “keep its customers safe”, apologized, and promised to “share any relevant information in the days to come.”

Red Art did not name the group responsible for the security breach.
