Funko Fusion: All Cameo Levels And Characters And How To Find Them

The fun part of Funko Fusion is the breadth of stuff it pulls from. The whole idea of the real-life Funko Pop toys is that the brand has characters representing a huge number of TV shows, comics, movies, and video games, and the game has a similarly deep, varied, and sometimes weird roster of properties you can find and explore.

There are six worlds that make up the main part of the game, but hidden within are additional levels and characters you can unlock if you’re diligent. These cameo levels and characters are some of the best stuff in Funko Fusion, but to get to them, you have to complete a sizable chunk of the game. These secrets all require a mix of characters and items unlocked from the rest of the game to access them, and while a new update to the game makes it a little easier to unlock all those things to require less backtracking, you’re still going to need to visit all of the different worlds to get what you need.

Here’s a rundown of all the cameos in Funko Fusion and what you’ll need to locate and unlock them.

Cameo Character: Chucky

The serial killer-possessed doll from the Child’s Play movies and Chucky TV show lies in wait in Funko Fusion; you can find him in the second Hot Fuzz level, Aisle Four Uproar, near the end, once you get into the supermarket’s upper level. Pop open the secret door there and you’ll find a room from what looks like a toy factory with a Good Guy doll box inside, bucking around as Chucky tries to get out.

Earning Chucky as a character is tough, because as you might expect from his other media appearances, he will attempt to murder you. First, you have to escape Chucky by keeping away from him until he becomes vulnerable, and then blasting him before he can stab you to death. When you do enough damage, Chucky will run away from you and you’ll need to chase him. Once you’ve hurt him enough, he’ll then hide throughout the level in different objects like dumpsters. Seek him out before the timer runs out and fight him until he gives up. You’ll need to find Chucky and repeat the process in several other levels to fully unlock him.

Cameo Character: M3gan

You need to find M3gan, the homicidal robot kid companion from the movie of the same name, within The Thing’s second level, Bark in the Dark, to start the quest to unlock her. Look for her after beating the boss; you’ll need a card you can get from a purple chest located outside the outpost, and the door to her room is right inside as you enter.

Like Chucky, M3gan isn’t friendly when you find her, and instead will attempt to kill you once you talk to her. You need to avoid her attacks until she gets dizzy, then lay into her with your weapons to slowly break down her robotic body until she’s kaput. The upside is that she’ll stick to the room you find her in, keeping the fight local, but she’ll also throw explosives at you and become electrified halfway through the fight, so you’ll need to keep your distance.

Cameo Character: Michael Knight, Knight Rider

Michael Knight and his super-smart computer car, KITT, can be found in the Umbrella Academy’s second level, Beats on the Streets. You need an access card, which you can get at the end of the level, to open the Knight Industries van you’ll find on the street nearby.

Once you release KITT from the truck, you have to beat him in a race to start the Cameo quest. That can be tough, since KITT is a car and you’re just some toy. The best way to handle the races with KITT is to drink a Speed Soda and a Stamina Soda right before you start, boosting your base running speed and giving you unlimited sprint for the next two minutes. After the first race, you’ll have to track down KITT in other worlds and win races there to finally unlock Knight Rider.

Cameo Character: Xena: Warrior Princess

Look for Xena in the fourth level of Masters of the Universe, Shock Amok. After solving the puzzle to zap Mer-Man, you can use a teleporter to get to the upper level of the area. If you solve those puzzles and get the access card, you’ll find another teleporter that takes you to a special arena, where you’ll find Xena fighting off armies of the immortals.

Xena’s cameo quest is a series of fights where you protect her from a slew of enemies, but they only come in two forms: sword-wielders and crossbow-wielders. Fight off several waves of both and you’ll finally have to deal with Callisto, Xena’s nemesis, although she’s not much tougher than the others. Once that’s done, look for Xena in other worlds wherever there’s a big X on the ground.

Cameo Character: Mega Man

Trapped in a big green ball of energy, Mega Man is first found in Double Dragon, the fourth level of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. To get to him, you’ll need to solve a puzzle that deactivates the bubble, and then escort him to Rush, his robot dog. Along the way, various enemies will attack you, and if Mega Man takes too much damage, you’ll have to sacrifice some of your own life bar to revive him. As with the other cameo characters, you can then find Mega Man hiding in other levels, with similar escort missions.

Cameo Character: Voltron

]

You can find Voltron way at the end of the fourth Battlestar Galactica level, Ovian and Out. He’s located near the end of the level and you’ll need to actually finish it and open the Funkey door to get the access card to reach him. He’s located back outside the Funkey door to the right and up the stairs.

To solve the Voltron cameo mission, you need to locate the Trans-Reality comet while also defeating all the enemies coming out of the rift near him. First, kill off all the baddies, then leave and check the big engine room where you saved Boxy’s mom to locate the comet. You’ll find Voltron in other levels where you’ll have to repeat the process, killing all the enemies that show up and then tracking the comet down.

Cameo Character: John Hammond

In the second Jurassic World level, Raptor Rescue, you can find your way down into a secret bunker in the jungle. You’ll need a charged battery to get the access card needed to open the bunker, but once you’re inside, the path leads to the control room for the original Jurassic Park. Inside is John Hammond, the billionaire industrialist who owned the park. In order to unlock him, you’ll need to find all the pieces of fossilized amber hidden throughout the game, one in each level for a total of 42.

Cameo Character: Colonel Sanders

Perhaps the weirdest character you can get in Funko Fusion is also one of the most difficult: Colonel Sanders, of the KFC fast food chain. Like John Hammond, getting him requires scouring the game for 42 items–in this case, buckets of KFC fried chicken. You need to find and shoot or bash one bucket in each of the game’s levels to unlock Sanders in his classic all-white suit look.

How To Get Into Cameo Levels

Even more than the cameo characters, to access Funko Fusion’s cameo levels requires you to have access to all the different characters and abilities unlocked by playing through each of the game’s worlds. It’s easiest to return to these locations after you’ve finished the world they’re in, as that changes character boxes to Funko Fusion boxes, allowing you to access all the characters you’ve unlocked, rather than just the ones from the world you’re in. The cameo levels also expect you to have access to all the characters and items from every main world, so you might want to leave these for last. At the very least, make sure you’ve played through the first level of each world to unlock all the mold items and characters.

Cameo Level: Jaws

The entrance to the Jaws cameo level is located in the third level of Hot Fuzz, The Village People. Look for Quint’s Tackle Hut along the main street, near the burned-down mansion. To get the door open, you’ll need He-Man from Masters of the Universe and the gas canister items from The Thing.

Once inside, your goal in Jaws is to make your way through the level by solving several puzzles so you can create a path out to Quint’s boat, the Orca, so you can have your final battle against Jaws itself. Expect to make use of He-Man some more, as well as characters with energy weapons like those from Battlestar Galactica.

Cameo Level: Shaun Of The Dead

Head to The Thing’s first level, Husky Hustle, to get to the door that will send you to Edgar Wright’s zombie comedy. The door is at the far end of Outpost 31 from where you start–you can get there easily by running across the snow field filled with Norwegians to the opposite entrance, then going straight to find the door itself. Scott Pilgrim’s amp and an energy weapon from Battlestar Galactica or Masters of the Universe are required to open it.

The primary focus of Shaun of the Dead is to escort the car with Ed and Shaun’s parents across town to the Winchester pub. You’ll definitely need energy weapons and the amps from Scott Pilgrim along the way.

Cameo Level: Back To The Future

The entrance to Hill Valley can be found in the first level of Jurassic World, Dilopho Saw Us. If you head to the left of the door you first enter the level through, then turn left again at the far end, you’ll come to a record store that’s guarded by a man. You’ll need Allison from Umbrella Academy to use her Rumor ability to get him out of the way, and then Scott Pilgrim and his amp to blast some glass to get into the room.

The cameo level puts you at the end of the first Back to the Future, with Marty McFly and Doc Brown setting up the lightning contraption to power the time machine so Marty can get back to 1985. Your job here is to solve a bunch of puzzles around the Hill Valley town square so you can put new tires on the DeLorean and fix the lightning wire. You’ll need Scott Pilgrim’s amps and Number 5 from Umbrella Academy to solve all the puzzles.

Cameo Level: Nope

Look for the entrance to the Nope level in Battlestar Galactica’s third level, Rough Fit Muffit. Leave the starting room and take two right turns through the halls of the Galactica to find the entrance to the cameo, then use He-Man and a charged battery to open it.

In Nope, you’re trying to lure the UFO creature out of hiding so OJ and Em can film it. That involves a bunch of puzzles to turn on inflatable sky dancers to draw it out. You’ll need energy weapons and He-Man for a lot of these puzzles.

Cameo Level: The Mummy

To find your way to 1930s Egypt to help Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz fight the mummy Imhotep, head to The Battle of Snake Mountain, the third level in the Masters of the Universe world. From the start of the level, you can look to your right and see a small island with the door to the cameo level on it. To get there, you’ll need Scott Pilgrim and his amp, and once you arrive, either Childs or gas canisters from The Thing are necessary to open the door.

The main focus of The Mummy is making your way through ruins to where Imhotep is trying to perform the ritual to resurrect his love, Anck-su-namun. Getting there means solving a few puzzles, which will require Number 5 and the gramophone from Umbrella Academy, and avoiding booby traps along the way. The end of the level is a tough boss fight with Imhotep, so bring plenty of healing soda and make sure to shoot that cloud of flies he breathes at you.

Cameo Level: Invincible

Getting into the level based on Amazon’s Invincible series starts in Umbrella Academy’s first level, House Hunters. You’ll need to play through most of the level in order to fully unlock the house; you can find the door to the cameo level near the top, through the door you open with the Sparrow switches. Use the CSI black light from Hot Fuzz and a character with energy weapons to unlock it.

The level itself puts you at the battle between Invincible and Omni-Man from the end of Season 1. You need to solve puzzles to help Invincible protect a falling building, using energy weapons to close the clamps on either side of it. After that, more energy weapon puzzles will let you help Invincible survive the fight.

Cameo Level: Five Nights At Freddy’s

The last of the cameo levels is found within Scott Pilgrim vs. The World’s third level, Vegan and Again. Look for the PIZZAAAAAA shop once you’ve used amps to break glass on other storefronts as you progress through the level, near the area where you can find the bosses. Unlock the door using a battery and the CSI black light from Hot Fuzz.

The Five Nights at Freddy’s level feels a lot like that actual game. Your goal is to use the big TVs to access surveillance footage of the restaurant, flipping between each of the rooms until you find a gold clock token. You then want to run to the token and grab it to advance the clock. Your goal is to pick up tokens to push the time all the way to 6 AM so you can survive the night, and of course, you have to do that through five total nights. Along the way, the animatronic characters will come to life to attack you. You can kill the smaller enemies, but Freddy and his friends can only be stunned, so you’ll need to keep moving and exploring the restaurant to stay alive.
