In addition to the upcoming Minecraft movie, a Minecraft TV show is in the works. Microsoft and Netflix have announced a partnership to bring Minecraft to TV in the form of an animated show.
Not much is known about the Minecraft series, but it will tell an “original story with new characters, showing the world of Minecraft in a new light.”

CG studio WildBrain, the company behind the Netflix shows Sonic Prime, Ninjago: Dragons Rising, and Carmen San Diego, is producing the Minecraft animated series for Netflix.
