Paul Rudd And Carrie Coon Don Ghostbuster Suits For Afterlife Sequel Tease

2021’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife left the door wide open for more ghosts to sneak in, as well as a sequel. While Sony Pictures didn’t offer up any footage, they did share what look to be a new plot development for the upcoming film.

In lieu of footage of the film, stars Carrie Coon and Paul Rudd appeared in a video with director Jason Reitman and writer Gil Kenan alongside young Ghostbusters Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace; the whole family, including Rudd and Coon, are suited up in the iconic khakis. The video describes them as a family, which suggests that Coon and Rudd’s characters got hitched between the two movies after their spooky meet-cute in the first one.

Reitman and Co. were already talking about a sequel before Ghostbusters: Afterlife hit theaters. Keenan said that “there are lots of surprising ways that the future and past can grow together, side-by-side and separately” at the time of Afterlife’s release.
