Otto Hightower admits “errors were made” after the death of King Viserys in the first trailer for House of the Dragon Season 2. He fails to mention they clearly benefited him, but they won’t benefit Westeros by the looks of things in the new footage for the Game of Thrones prequel.
All-out war between Targaryens is inevitable at this point in House of the Dragon. That said, Rhaenys Targaryen–who herself got screwed out of the throne–offers a word of warning to her niece, Rhaenyra (portrayed by Emma D’Arcy). “There is no war so hateful to the gods as a war between kin, and no war so bloody as a war between dragons,” says Rhaenys (played by Eve Best).
The debut trailer for the second season also shows off plenty of dragons on screen, including a standoff between the gigantic beasts on a beach.
